Guess what we have enough information for another page.....I hope I'm not boring you with all this neat info about cats.

Melbourne, Austrialia: Cats need to head for home when it gets dark outside and stay home until morning, because this city has a curfew for cats, and cat owners are liable for whopping fines.

Muezza: Mohammed's cat. The founder of the religion of Islam is said to have cut off part of his robe rather than awaken his sleeping feline friend.

Nine Lives: A myth about the cat that originated during a time when the cat was cosidered lucky. Cats seem to squeeze in and out of impossibly small places and fall from great heights without harm. Also, cats appear to be able to survive many accidents that would kill ordinary mortals, and they appear to come to life again after one of these adventures, all giving rise to the idea that they have more than one life.

Number One Pet: Cats have passed the dog as the most popular household pet in the U.S. Each year the number rises, recently topping dogs by more than 15 million.

Oscar: Born in Germany during WWII, this cat was a crew member on the German Battleship Bismark. When his ship was sunk, Oscar made it to a life raft and was rescued by the destroyer HMS Cossack, which was also sunk Oscar was rescued again, by HMS Ark Royal, and unbelievably, this ship sank, too. Spotted clinging to a floating plank, Oscar was retired to a sailor's rest home in northwest Ireland to live out his days.

Petting: Scientific studies show that the act of stroking a cat's fur can lower your blood pressure and help overcome loneliness, boredom and depression. The psychological lift of sharing your home with a cat can make you healthier and happier. Cats demonstrate their affection by purring and sometimes grooming their human friend.

Pussy Willow In every country, these soft willow trees are named after cats. In Poland, the tale is that a lot of little kittens were thrown into a river to drown. Their mother cried so loudly that all the willow trees alongside the river consulted together and held out their long branches and brought the kittens to safety. Every spring since then, the willow decks itself out in those velvet buds that feel like the coat of a soft kitten.

Raining Cats And Dogs: It's doubtful that anyone ever believed cats and dogs fell out of the sky, but we all understood that this phrase means that it's raining very, very hard. This 15th centruy expression is derived from the Latin word cadere, meaning a cascade or waterfall -- which, with its similar sound, led to the descriptive saying.

Socks: The famous First Cat of the Clinton family. Socks was found abandoned as a kitten in Little Rock, Arkansas, moved to the White House. He's famous worldwide, has been the subject of a number of books and, of course, has a fan club.

Stevenson, Governor Adlai: In 1949, when he was governor, he vetoed a bill requiring leashing for cats, saying, "The problem of cat versus bird is as old as time. If we attempt to resolve it by legislation, who knows but that we may be called upon to take sides as well in the age-old problem of dog versus cat, bird versus bird, or even bird versus worm."

Tail Communication: An upright tail indicates friendly intentions; a fluffed-out upright tail signals fear and defensiveness. A lashing tail indicates frustration, and a tail straight out is a signal that the cat will attack. An inverted U tail is an invitation to play a game of "chase me".

The Cat Who.....: A series of crime solving cat mysteries by author Lilliam Braun. Her detective heroes are called Koko and Yum Yum. and the response from readers has led Braun to publish a newsletter for fan.

Thomas, Christine: This former psychiatric nurse in Wakefield, England, was given an ultimatum by her husband of 16 years: "It's either me or the cat's!" Christine chose to keep her 129 furry friends and gave the boot to her gardener husband.

Vanek, Hank and Vi: This millionaire couple who live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, lavish an opulent livestyle on their three beloved cats. The cats travel first class with Louis Vuitton luggage, stay in five-star hotels, and eat choice lean steak. These cats have their own room, their own carousel and two miniature Rolls-Royce automobiles, with gold lame seats make from a dress once owned by Marilyn Monroe. Should the cats outlive the Vaneks, the couple have willed their beautiful home and their fortune to these lucky felines, who will live in luxury for the rest of their lives.

Welsh Law: In 10th-century Wales, cats were held in such high regard for their mouse-control skills that when a husband and wife separated or divorced, the husband automatically gained custody of the family cat so that he could continue to have its mousing abilities available.

White Heather: The beloved cat of Queen Victoria was cared for by the royal family after the Queen's death, living a long and regal life in Buckingham Palace.

Wiffy La Gone: This cat was elected mayor of Guffey, Colorado, a town of 25. Thanks to Wiffy, Guffey has become a tourist attraction for people from all over the U.S.
